Guttersmiths of Wisconsin, LLC is the only gutter installer in Dane County that plays an active role in reducing rainwater runoff and protecting the local watershed. By making a conscious effort to direct rainwater onto permeable surfaces, Guttersmiths has prevented thousands of gallons of runoff from harming our lakes and streams. In addition, Guttersmiths has, to date, installed over 100 rain barrels around the Madison area - many times on a volunteer basis. Guttersmiths specifically seeks alliances with local contractors and businesses that have like-minded philosophies and goals.
History
Guttersmiths of Wisconsin, LLC was established by John Briggs in 2006, following his move here from the east coast. I recognized a need for a progressive rain water management company in the Madison area. Armed with my history degree and three years of experience as an apprentice working on historic properties in Maryland, I set out to fill that need. I've since been featured in several publications, including the "Good Works" column of the Capital Region Business Journal, for the work I do as a caregiver, entrepreneur, and volunteer.
